Experienced Financial Professionals

2015 ANNUAL REPORT

We recruit the best.

Strategy 2: Hire and retain highly experienced and qualified financial services professionals.

Given our strategy of focusing on businesses, their owners and employees, banking at Pinnacle is built on relationships. The only way we can fulfill our brand promise of distinctive service and effective advice is by attracting and retaining the most experienced financial services professionals in Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis and Chattanooga.

Pinnacle’s financial advisors have a track record of success in these markets, averaging 23 years of experience including their time here. Clients know that they can expect long-term relationships with their partners at Pinnacle, given our retention rate of nearly 93 percent.

Our strategy for entering the Memphis and Chattanooga markets was the same as what led to our success in Nashville and Knoxville—to find the best bankers in those markets and bring them on board. In April we lifted out a team of eight highly experienced financial services professionals from First Tennessee to accelerate our expansion in the Memphis market. We also recruited several trust and commercial banking advisors in Chattanooga. Overall, we hired 36 revenue-producing associates, which is roughly three times our previous annual hiring pace.

Memphis Business Journal named Pinnacle the best place to work in the small employer category after we recruited a top-notch team in April.

Our advisors’ vast experiences in financial services—not to mention their key leadership positions within the community—have added to the depth and breadth of Pinnacle’s team. They continue to show great success in motivating clients to move with them to Pinnacle, as our financial advisors have from inception. We will continue to identify, attract and retain the most successful bankers in all of our markets to meet the aggressive loan growth goals we set for ourselves.
